Barnet, site of the famous workhouse from the story Oliver Twist. Two hundred years after the birth of Charles Dickens, how has the area changed and how has it stayed the same? The people of Barnet talk about their lives and their concerns in 2012 as council cuts and charges bite.

Charles Honderick and Roger Tichborne’s documentary"A Tale of Two Barnets” will be shown on Wednesday 18 April at the House of Commons. The film features frontline service users who have lost services and been hit with increased service charges as Barnet council has pursued cuts and outsourcing.
