Local government trade unionists, voluntary sector workers, council tenants and service users will march together under the banner of Camden United Against the Cuts on Monday evening 28 February as the north London borough’s councillors meet to agree a budget. Marchers will assemble from 5.30PM in Eversholt Street, NW1 before proceeding to a mass lobby outside Camden Town Hall, WC1. The Council’s Cabinet has approved proposals that would mean £82.5m in cuts over three years, cutting 1,000 full-time equivalent jobs and axing libraries, play schemes and day resource centres for vulnerable older people.
