When: Saturday 4 February 2012, 9:00am

National Libraries Day is a national event celebrating libraries of all types.  It is also about raising awareness of the programme of library closures taking place across the country.  As a result, we are encouraging people across the country to go out there and visit their local library, get involved in any protest actions and show support for any libraries that are threatened with closure.

This is a fantastic opportunity to remind local authorities of the importance of public libraries and the vital role they play in our communities.

If you know of any local protests taking place, please contact us so that we can share it with as many people as possible.
