Adult social care Le15

Location: UK » East Midlands » LE
Sector: Social care

Rutland Council has announced has just announced cuts to the adult social care bill by the back door by increasing the hourly rate from £11.50 to £13 and net assets able income will increase from 85% to 100 % and people with moderate needs will no longer be eligible meaning that 160 people will be re-assessed and could lose their services. People with more than £23,250 worth of savings will see care charges increase from £170 per week to £364 for second careers.  How long will those savings last at that charge?  There are a lot of wealthy people in Rutland, however the are an awful lot of others who live below the bread line! This is disgraceful!
