Carlton Road Day Centre W4

Location: UK » London » W

Carlton Road Centre is a council-run day service for adults with profound, complex and multiple learning disabilities. The centre provides advocacy services, intensive personal care,  art, disability sports, independent living skills, a sensory room, community involvement, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, dance therapy and music therapy as well as the space to connect with friends and peer groups; allowing parents & carers the time for respite from the rigours of full time caring for profoundly disabled adult son or daughter. It is fully fitted out with suitable equipment to meet the rigorous needs of the users complex disabilities, hoists, physio beds etc.

Ealing Council proposes to close Carlton Road from next May 2015 and provide carers with an individual budget after a full re - assessment and then signpost users towards alternative services in and bordering on the Ealing Boro’ area.

There appears to be few services available locally who have suitable facilities for such disabled users.
