Cuts
Disability and social care, Salford
Salford has increased the cost of community meals services by 2 per cent and respite or short breaks services by 4 per cent this financial year. The council is currently considering the future of short breaks and day centre services in the area and has required people to pay an additional 5 per cent contribution to their care costs. Salford is thinking about deducting 25 per cent of the value of a personal budget before giving it to the disabled person in the future.
