Charity. Volunteers offer support, advice and practical help to parents with young children in Stevenage (many of which have financial, mental health, illness and relationship problems). The withdrawn funding was for running costs, salaries and training.Local authority funding cut: £6,615. Details: Received a total of £15,615 in 2010/11; cut by £6,615 in 2011/12.The charity’s grant has been withdrawn, but council rent in kind payments will continue. The council’s EIA says: ‘Because this organisation has used the grant for its running costs, if no alternative funding can be found a service closure may result and have an impact on young children and parents in Stevenage.’
