Kingswood special needs primary school BS15
Sector: Children and young people, Disability
Plans for a new special needs school for primary-aged children in Kingswood have had to be scaled down after funding was reduced by £660,000.
The primary school is planned for the former site of Courtney School, which relocated into a new building next door, and will accommodate 15 youngsters from the age of four up to 11.
Local councillors for the area told local press that education leaders at South Gloucestershire had cut more than £500,000 from the total £2.5 million cost of the primary school.
