Knowsley Council: Health and Social Care L36

Location: UK » North West » L
Sector: Health, Social care

Service: Internally Commissioned Services
Title: Unused respite allocation withdrawn to facilitate service efficiencies.
Impact: Services would continue to support the same number of people but there are times when the units are not fully occupied. It is planned that this unused respite allocation will be withdrawn to enable one of the units to close for an additional two to three weeks a year. Staff would be reallocated to cover other areas of support such as the supported living service. This will be underpinned by a review process and monitoring of unused respite allocation. and cannot be implemented without a consultation process. The Council will also plan usage of the units to ensure that it minimises the need for night cover.
