Lincolnshire Police will lose 70 uniformed police officers over 18 months from October 2010, as well as 80-100 support staff.

The job losses are in response to a £20 million funding cut over the next four years, from a current budget of £122 million.

Lincolnshire Police currently employs 1,225 Police Officers and 149 Police Community Support Officers across the county. The force hopes to appoint more volunteer police officers.
