Cuts
Mid Essex Hospitals staff
Sector: Health
Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust is cutting the equivalent of 200 full-time posts during 2010/11 by reducing the use of temporary staff.
This is an across-the-board strategy that is not broken down by clinical or non-clinical posts, although requests for non-clinical staff are thought more likely to be refused.
The Trust provides the majority of services at two hospitals in Chelmsford - Broomfield Hospital, which is the main A&E centre, and St John’s Hospital, the main centre for maternity and gynaecology services - and also provides services at four other hospitals in Maldon, Chelmsford and Braintree.
