Newcastle city council: increased fees for paid nursery places NE99
Sector:
The council budget papers for 2012 - 2013 say that this proposal would see an increase of 3% in the cost of places at council run community nurseries for some parents.
“Charging the appropriate market rates will allow us to meet increased staffing costs, and make sure that nurseries remain viable. Parents who are affected by these changes will be notified. A number of places will continue to be provided free of charge to the most vulnerable children.”
