Cuts
Pathways programme at Bournemouth and Poole College
Sector: Disability, Education
Charges are being introduced for a adult education course designed for people with severe learning difficulties. In the wake of government funding cuts, Bournemouth and Poole College is introducing annual fees of more than £1,600 for its successful three-year Pathways programme.
The course, for over-19s with disabilities or severe or moderate learning difficulties, has been free of charge until now. But government funding which covered half the cost of the course has been removed.
