Closure of Northamptonshire Stroke Association

The Stroke association in Northamptonshire has been closed. A £100,000 cut by the Department of Health to services in the area has meant the county council, as of the end of April, will halt all services the stroke association provides.
Leaving hospital without the ability to speak, walk, be physically independent in some way is common for stroke patients. The after-care organisations like this one provide are essential, they greatly improve patients communication skills, independence and quality of life.
Vulnerable people are suffering. Could, for example, the £6 Billion tax bill avoided by Vodaphone have paid for this service?
