I worry that my mum won’t get the treatment she needs in future

I used to work for the private sector. Their rationale for existence is to make money not to serve the public. The health service free at the point of access is a fundamental cornerstone of our welfare state.
The sign of a caring society is how it treats those who don’t have their health. I worry deeply that this dismantling of our health service will mean that people like my mum won’t get the treatment she needs and has paid for through national insurance all her life.
